Marla Schevker has been a journalist for seven years. She has graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge with her Bachelors of Arts in print journalism. She was also inducted into the Kappa Tau Alpha honor society due to her academic excellence.
Previously, Marla was a New Media intern for KPCC, where she writes articles and creates multimedia to go on their website. Prior to that, she was the Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Daily Sundial, where she has also held a variety of other positions including Editor in Chief.
Marla is passionate about many kinds of journalism including music journalism, news coverage and human interest pieces. She has really enjoyed learning about alternative forms of story telling and used her time at KPCC to explore different aspects of multimedia. Here you can find her resume and samples of her work.
